Hello, friend! YetAnotherGuySumGuySumOtherGuy

We make music and stuff. We like to think of it as a unique blend of original folk/rock, spoken word, and performance art, tied together in a relaxed, off-the-cuff, dyed-in-the-wool, tounge-in-cheek, over-the-top, up-close-and-personal, no-holds-barred, come-what-may, devil-may-care, nose-to-the-grindstone, head-in-the-clouds, fight-or-flight, can-do, feast-or-famine, bottom-of-the-barrel, sky’s-the-limit, never-say-die kind of way... so to speak.

Our Story
In the beginning, there was one. Just SumGuy a basement bard with a guitar and a baseball cap, howling at the moon. His songs lived in a sock drawer and ran around in their underwear. Then one spring day, he was joined by SumOtherGuy on standup bass, which added a certain degree of credibility, because he wore a suit sumtimes. Shortly after that, YetAnotherGuy came along to bang on a cardboard box and try to keep SumGuy on an even tempo, because he likes things to be tidy.

Together, these motley minstrels form the SumGuy Trio. (Er, or maybe SumGuy Plus Two...? Yeah, sumthing like that...)

About Brian
SumGuy wants to be a musician when he grows up, but in the meantime he is content to write songs, play guitar, sing, howl, growl, grovel and laugh, and he invites you to share the experience. Sum basic philosophy: Life is too short to be taken seriously; mistakes lead to the unexpected, and that’s where life really happens. In other words... c’mon, let’s go!

Childhood playmate of the original SumGuy, Brian. Kevin was musically influenced at an early age while attending bonfire hootenannies, dreaming of having a taste of that beer stuff the grownups drank.

After graduating from high school, Kevin dropped out of sight into various garages for beer and "hoochenannies."

In 2009, Kevin joined SumGuy. As of this writing (2020) Kevin is weary of the stunning financial and artistic success of SumGuy. Kevin is considering a move to Bolivia to start a cattle ranch. "I just want to give back a little of what I have been so fortunate to receive," says the Sputnik Kid. He will be sorely missed.

About Bradly
Bradly's been too busy banging on cardboard boxes and stuff to write up a bio. Soon, though! :)
